Lawyers wanting to practise in another jurisdiction may be required to submit a Certificate of Standing along with their application. Certificates may be obtained directly from the Client Service Centre or you may start your request by paying online. The cost for a certificate is payable prior to issuing the certificate. Depending on the volume of requests, it normally takes approximately 2 weeks to process a certificate. For this reason, lawyers are asked to place their request at their earliest opportunity.
