Terms and Discounts

Ordering

Names, and licensee numbers or email addresses are required for all attendees when ordering Live Webcasts, Teleseminars, or on demand programs. This information is required to provide access information to items with digital content.

Hardcopy materials (if available) must be ordered in advance. If attending in person, you may place your order at the program for the registrant price of $35 plus applicable taxes. This pricing is only available to program registrants.

Customers pay shipping costs on international shipments. Please contact CPD Registrations at cpdreg@lsuc.on.ca before placing your order.

Delivery

We reserve the right to change program content, speakers and locations without notice.

Published program materials can be expected to arrive with in 1–2 weeks after purchase.

On Demand (Webcast/Audio) can be viewed immediately from the "password protected" area of our web site known as "My Purchases".

Cancellations, Transfers, or Returns

For cancellations, transfers, or returns please contact CPD Registrations at cpdreg@lsuc.on.ca

You must cancel at least 5 business days before the program date to receive a refund.

Transfers (e.g. from webcast to in-person attendance) will not be accepted within two days before the program date.

A registrant unable to attend may send a substitute.

No refunds will be provided for digital/electronic products such as e-Courses, AccessCLE articles, PDFs, or on demand programs.

Publication purchase price less $10 (plus applicable taxes) is refundable for items returned within 30 days of purchase in a condition suitable for resale.

Bursary (Financial Assistance)

Note: Bursary cannot be combined with other discounts or applied to online orders, is not applicable to programs and options priced at $50 or less, or e-Courses, and may not apply to all items. To receive a bursary your order must be received by fax, phone, mail, or email. Bursary applications for the current year will not be accepted after November 30.

Legal services providers with annual net incomes below $35,000 can qualify for a 50% reduction off the regular price of most Law Society CPD programs, and reductions of up to 50% off the regular price of most Law Society CPD publications.

To be eligible for a reduction in price, applications must be submitted a minimum of 10 days before the date of any CPD program for which a bursary is sought. Bursary is awarded on annual basis, to lawyers and paralegals, based on a calendar year. Application information is held in strict confidence.

Discounts

Note: CPD program purchase terms are for single viewers only. Additional viewers must register as a group. Discounts cannot be combined or applied to online orders, and may not apply to all items. Discounts are not applicable to programs and options priced at $50 or less or e-Courses. To receive a discount, submit your request by fax to (416) 947-5235 or by e-mail to cpdreg@lsuc.on.ca.

Group Pricing

Group pricing is available only to those registering at the same time and paying with a single form of payment (e.g., one cheque). Names, email addresses, and licensee numbers (where applicable) are required for each registrant.

Group pricing is not applicable to a registration requested by any person, organization or other group for whom a purpose of the registration is the generation of revenue.

Group pricing applies to In-Person, Live Webcast, and On Demand Webcast group orders.

For group orders, please use the CPD Group Registration Form

  • 2–4 registering: 20% discount
  • 5–10 registering: 35% discount
  • 11+ registering: 50% discount
  • Each registrant receives PDF materials and online program access

Students and Legal Clinic Counsel

50% discount off of regular prices (discount not to be calculated on group pricing or other discount).

To be eligible for a reduction in price, students must submit a legible photocopy of the front and back of their valid student card with order and valid payment.

To be eligible for discount Legal Clinic Counsel must state their affiliation at time of order and must be employed directly on staff by a legal clinic. Lawyers who are employed elsewhere, but may do work for legal clinics as duty counsel do not receive the discount.

Faculty members / Professors / Instructors

Faculty members of any Law School and Professors at Accredited Paralegal Colleges receive a 20% discount off of registration for live programs.

Instructors at Law Schools, Accredited Paralegal Colleges, and University and College Libraries receive a 25% discount when ordering any publication, video, or hard and soft cover book.

Bulk Resource Orders

25% discount when ordering five or more resources, at the same time and paying with one cheque or other single form of payment.

University and College Book Stores

50% discount when ordering any publication, video, or hard and soft cover book when ordering in bulk for course use — otherwise 25% discount as other resellers/bookstores.

Re-sellers and bookstores

25% discount when ordering any publication, video, or hard and soft cover book.

Accommodations

The Law Society of Upper Canada makes reasonable accommodations to enable persons with disabilities to attend and participate in its programs, including providing auxiliary aids and services upon request.
